Logo Design of HKVTC Shop
Committed to providing students with different opportunities to learn, practice and develop their talents, HKVTC Shop proactively encourages students to participate in different aspects of the development and operation of HKVTC Shop. HKVTC Shop organised "HKVTC Shop Logo Design Competition" and invited all VTC full-time and day/evening part-time students to provide design of the HKVTC Shop logo. The contestants are expected to use their creativity to design a logo for HKVTC Shop that can show the core values of VTC and present brand characteristics of HKVTC Shop: modern, innovative, active and diverse. Contestants had to consider factors such as creativity, aesthetics, brand communication and adaptability of the logo for different applications to make the logo applicable in different sizes and displayable on various types of items such as product, packaging, etc., and in e-commerce platform.
After the evaluation among a number of outstanding entries by the judging panel led by the VTC Executive Director, the winning entry created by Lam Tsz Kit, the graduate from Higher Diploma in Digital Entertainment and BSc (Hons) Digital Media jointly organized by SHAPE of VTC and The University of the West of England. The logo design was inspired by crossword puzzles. The overlapping words represent the combination of HKVTC and the online shop. The four colors of VTC are applied to the English letters of SHOP to express “contemporary, innovative, proactive, and diverse”. The letter S is added with a label symbol, which is also like a computer mouse, representing an online shop. The winning entry will be used in different occasions and items related to HKVTC Shop in the future.
