Description
HKVTC Shop is honored to invite VTC alumna Sylvia Yeh to lead a group of 25 IVE and HKDI students in the Mechanical Paper Art Spring Couplets workshop. Together, they created a festive piece full of blessings. Sylvia, the founder of the SylBaak Hill brand, is known for integrating Eastern and Western cultural philosophies in her designs, showcasing Hong Kong’s unique creativity and culture.

This spring couplet design incorporates Sylvia’s original characters, including Black Cat Simo and Snowy Owl Ziba. They appear as a vibrant lion dance troupe, bringing joy and good fortune. Centered around the character “福” (Blessings), the design conveys happiness and hope, delivering heartfelt wishes for a wonderful new year.

During the workshop, students learned the art of Mechanical Paper Art under Sylvia’s dedicated guidance. From design concepts to hands-on techniques, the process was filled with fun and discovery. They not only gained new skills but also experienced the endless possibilities of creativity and teamwork.

VTC wishes this “福” to accompany you through the festive season, bringing happiness and hope for the year ahead.
