About Us

HKVTC Shop

The growth of the global e-commerce business has been catalysed by technology development and accelerated by the Covid-19 pandemic in recent years.  Both enterprises and consumers are more willing to transact through online channels than ever before.  By riding on this trend, VTC creates learning opportunities and a platform for students and graduates to show their talents.  VTC's 13 member institutions provide a broad spectrum of programmes, covering a wide range of industries and catering for students with different backgrounds and abilities.  With talents in various fields, VTC students and graduates apply their creativity to design and produce many different types of products. For example, the delicacies made by students and graduates of the Chinese Culinary Institute (CCI) and the International Culinary Institute (ICI), and the product designs of students and graduates of the Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) and the Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI) have won awards in various international competitions, such as the International Young Chef Challenge and the well-known Red Dot Design Award, etc.  VTC also provides vocational skills training for people with special educational needs through the Shine Skills Center, where students produce many exquisite food products, ornaments and festive gift boxes.

HKVTC Shop as a Stage to Showcase Talents and a Training Platform

In order to maximize the exposure of students’ products, VTC is going to soft launch the HKVTC Shop in the 4th quarter of 2022 to provide a complete and one-stop promotion and sales channel for the products designed and/or produced by VTC students and graduates.  HKVTC Shop will also launch a series of VTC-branded products and invite students to participate in product design and production, allowing them to develop their potential and demonstrate their strengths. At the same time, HKVTC Shop offers an authentic training environment that offers numerous opportunities for students to demonstrate their talents and strengths. Students from different Disciplines can learn through performing real jobs, which are related to their respective programmes of studies, in different functional areas of the VTC E-Shop. Taking Business Disciplines as an example, students can participate in e-commerce platform operation, warehousing and logistics management and marketing by applying creativity, trade knowledge and skills and learn by doing in a  real-world setting.
